City Council Allotment Competition

We are pleased to announce that Melbourne Park Allotment Association was nominated the best allotment site in the large sites category for the Chelmsford City Council for 2015. Members of the committee were invited to the presentation which was held outside Barclays Bank / Nationwide Building Society, Friday 18th September. The prize giving was undertaken by the mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Paul Hutchinson.

As well as this nomination, our good friends at Chignall Road Allotments, were nominated as the best in the small sites category and our congratulations to Steve Withers and his colleagues.

Patrick Tilley from Melbourne Park Allotments was awarded the best overall plot, which considering the number of plots that would have been amongst the judges view is hugely commendable. Hats off everyone.
