Council Allotment Winners Announced

Many of the allotment holders may already have received a newsletter from the council advising of the results of the competition held, together with how the sites were broken down for judging. The Melbourne site was judged alongside Woodhall, Springfield Hall, Somerset Place, Sawkins Gardens and Kings Road.
The news letter advises that the best plot winner in group 4 as Bruce Morgan, with Tony Holbrook awarded runner up and John Holt the best newcomer. In addition to this achievement, Musa Byford was nominated runner up in the Children' scarecrow competition.
Finally there was also recognition awards for charity and community plots for which the Wilderness Foundation were named.
