Council Awards Scheme - Allotment Orchard

It is highly disappointing to report that our attempt to secure a grant for the Orchard project came to a halt this week, as it was announced that Galleywood Heritage secured the largest number of votes with it's proposition. The result was reasonably close, with just 33 votes separating ourselves from the winning scheme. We did secure the most votes from the day in Town, where Carolyn, Karen, Tony and Dave talked, discussed, coerced and cajoled shoppers with the merits of our proposition.

We will be eligible to re submit our proposal in six months time, and aside of the disappointment, would like to offer our sincere thanks to Carolyn for the significant amounts of time and effort that went into not just putting the proposals together, but also organising the campaign for votes.
